September 2007

Cactus Mirage at the McDowell Mountain Ranch Aquatic Center by artist Norie Sato won the Crescordia Award in the Art in Public Places category for Valley Forward

June 2007

Americans for the Arts (AFTA) chose the Scottsdale Public Art Program as one of only two programs to be featured at the Annual National Conference June 1-3, 2007 in Las Vages, NV.

The conference also selected MAYA II by artist Jarvis Rockwell, as one of it's Top 100 Public Art Projects

for 2006.

MAYA II by artist Jarvis Rockwell was also honored as one of Art in America Magazines Top 20 Public Art Projects for 2006.

April 2007

The Art of Placemaking by Ronald Lee Fleming discussed the Pima Freeway project The Path Most Traveled by artist Carolyn Braaksma, landscape architect Jeff Engelmann, architect Andrea Forman. The project is also on the cover.

                       

September 2006

American Society of Interior Designers (ASID),

Arizona North Chapter - Enhancement of the Arts Award presented to the Scottsdale Public Art Program. Gail Adams, FASID presenting award, acceptance by Margret Bruning Assistant Director of the SPA program.
