Description
Indian School Road between Pima and Drinkwater Blvd will undergo improvements to elevate the aesthetics of the corridor, enhance the experience of pedestrians and bicyclists and create connections to sites that intersect Indian School Road such as the Indian Bend Wash and Pima path systems and the Civic Plaza/downtown areas. No new traffic for motor vehicles will be added. Landscaped medians, roadway frontage improvements and added bike lanes will be part providing an aesthetic, pedestrian friendly entry into downtown. The artists have joined the street improvement design team to create features that enhance the streetscape design for Indian School Road, while creating a distinct approach to downtown. A vertical sculpture is under consideration.
